E1 - Results for Elements absent from imported basedata (problem requiring action)

This issue is caused by a result in the result file which cannot be matched by an element and is usually resolved by refreshing the basedata with the missing elements. If this does not resolve the error then it may be due to the results file referencing the incorrect series and this can be checked in the first line of the results file e.g R156535016A08SUCLES01EPS10 - if this is incorrect you will need to contact the exam board to send you a results file for the correct series.

E2 - Results not matched by an entry (no problem)

This is not a problem - SIMS does not require that the entry exists in order to accept a result from a board - and is provided for information only

E3 - Results indicated as being returned against a different Element entry (no problem)

This signifies a result in the result file which is associated with an Element, but it is not the Element for which an entry was made. The system will check that the Element for which the grade is issued has been imported and record the result against it.
E4 - Results with a Partial Absence Flag (probably no problem but check)

This signifies that a student has not completed all of the necessary components of the examination. If this error occurs, no action is necessary as this report is for information only.

E5 Results which differ from a previous import (won’t get)

This signifies a re-import of a result file. If this error occurs, no action is necessary as this report is for information only and the system will overwrite the existing result.
E6 - Results not in range defined for the Aspect (problem requiring action)

This usually signifies that a grade contained in the result file is invalid. If this error occurs, we would advise to contact the appropriate Board, however, there may be some corruption within the basedata that should be checked first - check the element properties in the Basedata (Focus | Basedata - expand the award to view element. Right Click on Properties to view the gradeset)

Use route : Tools | School Setup | School Details
Before importing data into or exporting data from Examinations Organiser, it is necessary to identify the location of the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) directories. Select the required location by clicking the Navigator button
Inbox
This is the directory into which all incoming files are placed. The receipt of these files is within the control of the communications software and not from within the module. This would normally be S:\SIMS\EXAMIN depending on where your SIMS drive is.
Outbox
This is the directory used to hold files ready for transmission via the EDI system. e.g S:\SIMS\EXAMOUT
Examhold
This directory is used to place files produced by the module.

NOTE: With some EDI systems, the transmission of such files is automatic as soon as you log on and it is therefore vital that only files ready for transmission are stored in this directory.
