Exclusions

Please ensure your Permanent Exclusions and Suspensions (formerly Fixed-Term Exclusions) data is kept accurately & up to date within your system. Also ensure you have followed the correct procedures to report these to the Local Authority Attendance and Exclusions Team.

Please note that Permanent Exclusions will not be included within the return if they do not have a Final Governor Review Outcome recorded.

Check the Permanent Exclusions without Final Review Report in the Detail Report area to see if you have any which will not be included in the return.

When the DfE performed quality checks on the data previously provided, many exclusions were found to be missing from census returns and several had not been reported to the Local Authority.
