Preparing and Checking Your SIMS Data
For parents to access data using the system you must:
- Ensure that all students' date of birth records are accurate - the parent will need to supply this as a part of registration and if this information is not correct in SIMS, the parent will not be able to log in.
- Ensure that parent records
- have a valid and monitored email address identified as primary in SIMS
- live with the pupil - see Tiny Little Houses
- are flagged as having parental responsibility
- are not flagged with a court order
Whilst it is possible to target and to exclude selected contacts for invitation using the administrative console, it is important to ensure that invites are distributed correctly. The best way to do this is to ensure that the above information is correctly recorded in SIMS.
