This problem is caused by a mis-match between the SIMS .net Database version and the Client version.

SOLUS 2 Workstations (using SIMSLoad.exe)

This indicates that the path stored in the c:\windows\sims.ini for the setups folder is incorrect or that the user does not have sufficient permissions to run the update

  • Logged in as a local administrator, re-run SIMSApplicationSetup.exe located in the s:\sims\setups folder on the affected workstation. This will install the required files to the workstation.

    • if the problem is with FMS run the FMSApplicationsetup.exe file located in the S:\SIMS\Setups\FMS folder

SOLUS 3 Workstations

  • To resolve the issue on effected workstations, Lauch the Solus 3 agent on each workstation and click the 'Applications' Tab then click 'Check for updates'. This will carry out the upgrade on that specific workstation - alternatively the School can use the SOLUS 3 GUI on the server and redeploy the update to the workstations in question.
