Parent Pay (the makers of SIMS) are to release functionality required to work on the summer census (21st May 2026) only in their next generation of software.

As a result, all schools must have at least the user completing the return registered to use the new software. As your data is already synchronised with the cloud this should not be too onerous but it is best that schools register these users ahead of the Easter break.

Please follow the process below to get access to SIMS Next Gen

Identify a person in school who will act as gatekeeper to SIMS Next Gen systems & check that this user

• has access to SIMS System Manager

• has a school domain email address set as Work and Main recorded in Focus > Person > Staff

Complete the form here to have an invitation sent to this person to register for a SIMS ID account

Use links in this invitation email to register your SIMS ID account and then request that this account be granted administrator permissions by completing the form here

Once this account has the permission to do so, you can then invite others in school to create their own SIMS ID accounts to access Next Gen software (video tutorial here)
