Personnel – Update Service Terms and Contracts including SWC Preparation

SIMS Personnel would be completely up to date in readiness for completing the School Workforce Census and in line with DfE requirements.

Description of Service

Update Service Terms including

  • adding latest pay awards

  • adding TLR values

  • mapping posts to DfE required posts

  • mapping TLRs to correct DfE options

  • mapping pay scales to DfE required pay scales

  • correcting hours per week and weeks per week to match payroll

  • tidying and hiding old service terms.

  • updating contracts for current staff to match school payroll report.

  • running checks on salaries to make sure they match school payroll report.

  • updating contracts in line with DfE required fields in preparation for SWC.

  • adding missing staff data items in line with DfE requirements in preparation for SWC

Pre-requisites

  • Current staff personnel records set up in SIMS with Employment start date

  • Staff leavers updated with employment leaving date entered

  • Latest payroll report saved as spreadsheet for access during the session

    • This must include staff first name, surname, position, pay scale, scale point, hours worked per week, weeks paid per year (for term time only staff), actual salary, details of any allowances paid and annual value. Whether contract is Permanent, Temporary, Fixed Term or Casual etc. For Fixed Term contracts the end date of the contract is also required (this information can usually be provided direct from your payroll provider by requesting a deployment report, or payroll report)
