Accessing OSMIS Services

Please find here a quick guide to accessing OSMIS services. We look forward to helping you get the very best from your MIS.

Logging a call

The OSMIS Education Service Desk will be staffed between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. These hours will be extended from time to time by agreement with the school – for example, to support key out of hours processes and the management of examination results.

Support calls and requests for service may be submitted by any user within the school via any of the following channels:

by email to support@osmis.co.uk

by completion of the web-based form at http://www.osmis.co.uk/log-a-call

by telephone on 01618831290 (staffed by dedicated SIMS experts who aim to resolve more than 90% of calls at first contact)

Each of the above routes will raise a ticket on our CRM system (Zendesk) and will be dealt with in accordance with the process published at http://www.osmis.co.uk/accessing-the-service-desk

Once each support ticket is closed, you will receive a link to provide feedback on our service. Your views are appreciated and important to us as the very best way to ensure that we continue to improve and to meet your needs.

Remote Support

It is a condition of our support that you are able to share your computer screen with our support analysts using a programme called TeamViewer Quick Support. This programme runs to provide shared access on once only basis and can be run from the link on the OSMIS web site (you can download a copy to your machine and run it from there should you prefer).

Requesting a Service

It is a condition of our service that users of the system are trained appropriate to their role and may be that the school would like some more formal support - for on-site training or to help with new ways of working for example. Should you like to request such a session, please complete the form at http://www.osmis.co.uk/request-a-service and we’ll get in touch to discuss your requirement.

Online Training – SIMS schools

Users in OSMIS supported schools are invited to access free online training on our portal at https://osmis.teachable.com/ - As we need to control access to these resources (which are official ESS training materials), please create your account on the teachable site using a school domain email address and then log a call requesting that we grant your free access to all content – don’t go paying!

Online Training – Arbor schools

Free of charge access to a wide range of Arbor training courses is available to all staff in supported schools at https://support.arbor-education.com/hc/en-us

From time to time we will email schools a newsletter containing information of note and encourage all schools to have at least one member of staff subscribed to our mailing list. If you would like to receive OSMIS mailings, please use the link at www.osmis.co.uk to subscribe.
