National Tutoring Programme
Schools are receiving National Tutoring Programme funding to subsidise the cost of extra tutoring for pupils whose learning has been disrupted by COVID-19.
Schools are asked to prioritise pupils in receipt of pupil premium for tutoring but have the flexibility to support pupils that need it most
Nursery, Reception and post 16 pupils are not eligible for NTP funding.
For the academic year 2023 to 2024, any tuition provided via the National Tutoring Programme must be recorded in the census. This includes tuition delivered through:
school-led tutoring
tuition partners
academic mentors
